Our Mission

Making Disciples

Bereans were known in the early church as people who eagerly received teaching and compared it to the Bible.

Acts 17:11 says, “Now the Bereans received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.” At Berean, we are committed to the clear, practical teaching of God’s Word because it is the key to victorious living.

Of All People

At Berean, we are intentionally multi-ethnic and multi-generational.

The apostle John in Revelations 7:9 tells us that in heaven “before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.” We desire our church to be a reflection of worship in heaven, while we seek to make disciples who are faithful followers of Christ.

For His Glory

Whether we eat or drink, or whatever we do, we do it all to the glory of God. 

We are a spirit-filled people who gather regularly to worship and exalt God with our lives. As Colossians 3:16 says, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God."

We long to glorify God by seeing Him gather a multi-ethnic, multi-generational church of disciples - people changed by the gospel who grow with Him in genuine community, give of their time, talents, and treasures, and go out to live on mission.

Our Values

How we live out our mission, making disciples, and honoring God in everything we do.

We are a spirit-filled people who gather regularly to worship and exalt God with our lives, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in our hearts to God. (Col. 3:16)

We long to see a diverse multi-ethnic, multi-generational group of people from every nation, from all tribes and languages, gather as one people of God in unity, love, and devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ. (Rev. 7:9)

We desire to see lives changed by the gospel, the good news of who Jesus Christ is and what He has done, according to the scripture – the ultimate authority and the centrality of all we do. (1 Cor. 15:1-4)

We are disciples - followers of Jesus Christ, being changed by Him, and committed to His mission. We are called to make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching them to observe all that Jesus commanded. (Matt. 28:18-20)

We share life with other believers in authentic community. We are a family. We walk with one another through life’s joys and challenges, constant in prayer, caring for one another. (Rom. 12:10-16)

We give our time, talent, and treasures to serve one another and our surrounding community to advance the Gospel. We are a generous church that gives regularly, joyfully, and sacrificially. (Heb. 13:16)

We are on mission sharing the gospel, witnesses of the good news of Jesus Christ, taking that message into the community, into the marketplace, and to every nation of people. (Acts 1:8)
